Ya, thats my doubt too. However, in your picture, the dentation doesn't look to be uniform on all leaves, so... so... I don't know...

The lingering doubt helped!
It is Crawfurdia speciosa, complete with toothed leaves. The picture in Flowers of the Himalaya by Polunin & Stainton, agrees excellently with your pic. And the picture in the book was also taken in Darjeeling!
Crawfurdia is very close to Gentiana. In fact, some botanists call this plant Gentiana speciosa.
