i've seen h.hirtus available in nurseries  next to akshardham... i haven't sighted any crossandra infundibuliformis  specimens in the NCR since a long-long time now. there is a nursery very close to the the 'atta' market (not the inside one; there's one outside)...why don't you try your luck there.

best of luck!

will update you if i find anything

Hello,

I have been looking around several Delhi nurseries for the following vines:
Bengal Clock Vine
Mysore Clock VIne (Thumbergia Mysorensis)
Golden Trumpet VIne (Campsis Radicans)
Flaming Trumpet (Pyrostegia Venesta)

I have had no success - any suggestions and ideas sincerely appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Deepak

hi deepak,

you're welcome anytime   . out of the three vines you've in search of 'Thumbergia Mysorensis' will be difficult to find in Delhi.

'Campsis radicans' is readily available in most nurseries and if by chance you can't find just pull out one of the suckers from near the base of any established plants or try to root it's cuttings; it's probably the easiest among vines to propagate.

And finally the 'Pyrostegia venusta' is also readily available in large nurseries they sometimes call it the honeysuckle or 'lonicera' although it isn't.

Both 'Campsis radicans' and 'Pyrostegia venusta' can be found at the rajdhani nursery in jorbagh, there is another nursery adjoining it you may try there aswell. it's best to take a print-out of the plants image when you want something specific, 'cause nursery-valas don't always relate to latin and english names.

happy hunting!!
