Dinesh, did you notice that your picture, and that in Cowen's book doesn't agree with that in Ingalhalikar's Flowers of Sahyadri? I remember, you had earlier found another discrepency in FoS. Maybe we should have a list of such errors in printed books, so that other readers do not face difficulty.

That was Avicennia officinalis stated to be Avicennia marina ... clarity found in The Trees of Mumbai by Marselin Almeida & Naresh Chaturvedi

Personally I get always confused regarding Gardenia and Ixora information -- heights of the "small" trees especially are stated for the same species to be as much as 3m as well any like 7m !

By the way, what appears as G. resinifera in FOS seems different in FFOS.

FFOS picture is agreeable.

Hmm... good to hear that FFOS picture is agreeable.
You know Dinesh, thats one advantage we have - unlike the print medium, our medium is "living". Errors/mistakes only have a short lifetime here. Over time they get removed. Whereas correct information keeps getting added.
Of course it has a disdvantage too - you can't carry a website in your bag, when u go flower-hunting. Well, not yet! I am sure when tablet PCs get dirt cheap, it will happen.
