Hello friends,

Here are photos of a plant, showing flower and fruit; saw this plant at Karnala Bird Sanctuary.

1) The flower is about 2-3 mm, stalk about 5-6 mm, many flowers arising out of axil
2) The fruit, looks similar to brinjal, about 12-15 mm
3) The plant (not a clear photo), is about 1 m, with chordate leaves, larger near base, about 20-25 cm wide, 25-30 cm long

Baliospermum montanum is suggested by N.S.Dungriyal via IndianTreePix.

It does look like Baliospermum, however friends please validate the specific.

Some other views are put at the eGroup discussion at http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix/browse_thread/thread/eddda88298e172e0/bd700c128c9b7412?hl=en&lnk=gst&q=Baliospermum#bd700c128c9b7412

On going through for a while with other names: B. axillare and B. solanifolium, found them to be considered as synonymous.
A desi link for reference: ENVIS - FRLHT

... names of this plant put at New Flower forum.

Regards.
