Hello friends,

I have almost given up attempting to identify these two flowers !!!
Give me a clue to re-start !!

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1375/1252238458_52fd6dd413.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1256/1251406283_4075c030a4.jpg

except for their beautiful colours, each are:
... found growing in the wild forest area of Tungareshwar Wildlife sanctuary.
... about 12-15mm
... large heart shaped leaves
... vine

PLEASE NOTE, as always, these pictures are linked to related photos on Flickr site ... you may reach out to see their different views.

Many thanks,
Dinesh

Dinesh, we can explore two genera: Cynanchum and Matelea.
Look at this pic of Matelea denticulata:

Cynanchum viridiflorum, for example, has green flowers with a flesh colored ring in the center. It has large heart-shaped leaves too.

Thanks, Tabish,
Will keep in mind about these genera.
Matelea seems closer.

In Further Flowers of Sahyadri, I see the above flowers resemble to those of Heterostemma, especially H. dalzellii, H. tanjorense or H. deccanense, ... unfortunately there is not much about species related to this genus on the internet!!

Regards,
Dinesh.

The cream flowered plant is tentatively identified as Heterostemma tanjorense.

Many thanks to Tabish and Navendu for validating the identification.

PS: The pale-pink flowered plant could turn out to be of same species; yet to be confirmed.
