Sir,
I collected this bulbous flower from Kerala, where it flowers in wild after rains and blooms before having leaves. It flowers here in Rajasthan, it is with me for last three years. But I do not know it's name and I wish to know that. It has a web like daffodils and is quite close to spider lilies. I have already sent an email with attachment in this regard
Ravi

This could be Pancratium triflorum, a kind of Forest Spider Lily
See this link:

If so, it is new to the FOI site.

If you mean, a separate section on bulbs on the Flowers of India site, its not a bad idea. Maybe we should do it. It will take a while to do it. Thanks for the siggestion.

Okay, I have created a section on Bulbous Plants.

Please to point out additions/deletions to that section.

There is one difference in the information provided with the Pancratium triflorum on the site that my flowers are not nocturnal and bloom in the day time. My snap looks as if it is taken in the night but it is not, it is because of spot metering.

Hmm.... thats something to think about. Otherwise your picture agreed quite well with the descrïption. Will explore about this species more.
Did it suffer jetlag while being transferred from the forests of Kerala to the desert of Rajasthan?!

I potted it in Gharsana, Distt. Ganganagar, Rajasthan first (I was posted there that time), where it gave me several bloomings and the person who brought it for me was himself astonished seeing that. His statement was that he has not seen both flowers and leaves together in general there in Kerala, The showers bring flowers and after flowers are finished only leaves remain.

Can not say anything about jetlag for very sure, but the person I mentioned above did not say anything about change in flowering time.
